Amsterdam, one of Europe's capitals, has many attractions for visitors. The city's most famous sight is the 17th-century canals of Amsterdam (in Dutch: 'Grachtengordel'), located in the heart of Amsterdam. There are many wonderful museums to visit, including the Van Gogh museum and the Rijksmuseum, the national museum of the Netherlands.
There are wonderful churches and buildings as well as concert halls and diamond factories to visit. As well as the reputed areas of the Red Light District.
Another fantastic feature of this city are the open air markets, selling their wares to locals and tourists alike.
